20 songs, 30 some odd minutes. 7 songs less than a minute. 4 songs longer than 3. Yet each song remains quick, instantly catchy and unique in it's own way. really. go buy this record.

there, that is all you really need for this review. however, since i am to write more than a few words, i'll go on.

i bought this record over the summer off of their website for 10$. It shipped to me later that week. And since then i've been listening to this 20 track album of goodness quite often.

I've been missing this kind of music. The quick spastic goofy lyric'd fun indie punk music that would make me dance in my room when no one is looking. In the past I've always been able to rely on Les Savy Fav and the Dismemberment Plan for this. However, D-Plan are now defunct (let alone, there last album wasn't exactly this kind of music) and Les Savy Fav, while still great live, haven't done anything to top 1999s Cat and the Cobra.

Insert Single Frame from Texas. They come to rescue me with drums, guitars, distortion pedals and keyboards in hand. Featuring tracks that you can play at parties and have everyone jumping and singing along with (Mod Style ’68, 3 Bloodless Shadows, New Car Smell) and others (Post Daydream Forecast Endeavor, Comm. Jet, Eavesdropper Goes Solo) that make you want to just slip on some head phones close your eyes and just move along with the music.

It’s almost December as I am writing this, and it’s safe to say that this album will be in my top five of this year.
